Canon Creative Park - Chess Papercraft

Chess is the two-player strategy boardgame and mental sport. The objective of chess is to checkmate the opponent's king - to get it in a position on the board were it cannot avoid being captured. This chess papercraft comes complete with board, chess pieces, box to hold the pieces, and a guide on how to play it. Make sure you print the chess pieces on heavy cardstock because it's hollow in the middle, you don't want it tumbling over when a light breeze passes by.

Indian Peafowl Papercraft - Canon 3D

An update to the Canon 3D papercraft site, this beautiful looking papercraft bird that you're looking at is an Indian peafowl. Description by Canon 3D:

"The Indian peafowl is the national bird of India, and can be found mainly in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and other areas of south Asia. The male, known as the peacock, has large, brightly-colored feathers, which he displays to attract females (peahens) during courtship in spring. Peacock feathers are a beautiful iridescent blue, making them popular for use in artwork. Peafowl are also considered very useful birds to keep as they eat poisonous insects and snakes."

Pegasus Papercraft - Canon Creative Park Update

A winged horse that was said to be the son of Poseidon and Medusa and an aid to the gods. Pegasus has been used prominently in both movies (Jason and The Argonauts, Hercules, etc.) and video games (God of War II). Canon Creative Park just released this Pegasus papercaft under the Lucky Items section of their site - I guess to coincide with the coming new year celebration. You can also check out an adorable giant panda papercraft on the animals section and a papercraft ship - the Sagres II, a Portuguese Navy training vessel.

Halloween Papercraft 2 - Canon Japan

If weather forecasts are giving your area a grim outlook for the 31st, sometimes it's better for families and friends to opt for a Halloween party instead of spending a night of Trick or Treating. For instance, here in my neighborhood we're having a block party, kids get to have their party early on in the evening which includes eating enormous amounts of candy(tummy ache included), party games, costume contest, etc. and us adults have our own party later on, much, much later (this would probably include adult costumes, enormous amounts of alcohol, and grossing ourselves out with the movie hostel). Whether your having a party in your office or at home here are some very nice Halloween masks and Halloween decorations that will surely get your party buzzing . Simply print and your good to go.

Halloween Papercraft - Canon Japan

Here's a bunch more of Halloween paper crafts from Canon Japan, this time we've almost got a complete package, it consists of a Halloween Tree, Jack O' Lantern (single), Jack O' Lantern (family), Witch's Hat and Broom, and finally a diorama featuring Halloween Night - complete with a haunted house, flying witch on a broom, full moon, black cat, ghost, skeleton zombie, pumpkinhead, and of course the cemetery/graveyard. This would probably be not enough to satiate your cravings for Halloween crafts and decor, but I'll try to scavenge for some more. Until then, you can feast on these.

Viking Papercraft

"1000 years ago, Viking mariners set out from their fledgling colony in Greenland and became the first Europeans to discover and explore North America. They called the land Vinland the Good, settling at place known today as L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland, Canada. " - Smithsonian National Museum of National History

"The scourge of Europe from roughly the ninth through the 11th centuries, the Vikings and their fast, seaworthy vessels are said to have reached as far as North America around 500 years before Columbus. These craft were characterized by a single central mast about 20 meters high and a single sail. A partially preserved vessel has been discovered on the shores of Norway's Oslo Fjord." - Canon Creative Park

We don't have anything unique today (I'm still working on it), so well have some Viking papercraft for now. Why Vikings??? I'm not quite sure, I just randomly selected from the finished models that are waiting to be posted. It's from Canon 3D Papercraft, under the Buildings of the World section of the page. Plenty of good and easy paper models that will keep you busy while I finish something new.
