Toyota iQ Car Papercraft

As I've said on the previous post, this is a continuation of our good friend Ryo Tokisato's papercraft works. This time its the Toyota iQ car papercraft - it's actually an old link that I forgot to post, it was sent in last year. The Toyota iQ is the smallest 4 passenger car in the world, 4 means 3 adult + 1 kid or 2 adults + 2kids. The iQ has a 57 MPG EPA rating and could probably hit 60MPG under ideal driving conditions. It's available throughout Europe now but no word on a US release. This Toyota iQ car papercraft is presented by the Netz Fukui site and offers the free download with 9 color options to choose from.

Designer Jan Rukr has posted some new paper models on his famed ALIENS papercraft site, and alongside those new ones are updates for some of the previously posted. On the Aliens side you can find the Cheyenne utility dropship papercraft and updates on two of the APCs (Armored Personnel Carrier). Then there's the Bonus Model section, there you can find Judge Dredd papercrafts that includes his badge and Book of Law. Nissan Motors Papercraft Cars

Nissan is one of the top three major Japanese automakers in Japan alongside Toyota and Honda, and like any other big name brand in Japan, they have their very own papercraft section on their web site. Today we'll showcase the official Nissan Motors papercraft cars which includes sedans, coupes, convertibles, sports cars, race/rally cars, vans, mini-vans, sport utility vehicles (SUVs), pickup trucks, hybrids, prototypes and concepts. They've got all the types of cars covered and has an impressive 83 paper models in their collection. These Nissan papercraft cars were designed by Yutaka Mori and each cars' pattern has three options for you to choose from, there's the regular colored pattern in PDF format, the no-color PDF pattern for printing on colored paper, and a GIF file.

I've tested a few, it was really very easy and the results are very nice. I would highly recommend to this to those starting out with papercrafts. There's not much cutting on the inside of the pattern, just mostly on the outlines. Beginners can breeze through 3 to 5 of these models and come out feeling accomplished - ready to move on to more complicated ones and consider themselves a graduate of beginners school. Give it a try!

Guido

Guido is a fictional forklift from the Pixar animated feature film Cars. Guido is Luigi's best friend, and works with him at Luigi's Casa Della Tires. He is an Italian forklift and can perform a professional pit stop by himself in seconds. The only language Guido can speak and understand fluently is Italian. He is one of 12 remaining citizens of Radiator Springs. He is voiced by Guido Quaadmini. His name means "I drive" in Italian.

I loved Guido from Cars...so adorable and cute. I got this papercraft from this japanese site http://hal8999.web.fc2.com/guido/guido.html (yes I give proper credits this time). Im not sure who is the original creator/designer because the site is in Japanese. The site also has photos of other papercrafts he/she made.

The instructions for the papercraft are not really specific, especially with the forklift 'hands' but when you see the pictures you'll get the idea. This papercraft is not too hard to make. I would rate its difficulty as 2 on a scale of 1 to 5.

Download it here >> http://hal8999.web.fc2.com/guido/guido.html

(p/s: in that last pic, the bottom part of guido looks weird because my printer had problems printing the whole piece so I had to colour it in. SOrry

Edit : Someone commented that there is a whole set of Cars character papercrafts made by Rick Webdude. You can get it over at his website http://paperian.com/webdude/bl.htm and its very detailed. Its in Pepakura PDO format.
